Queen Charlotte College – School Safety Railings & Trim Location: Picton, New Zealand Time: December 2023 – April 2024 Job #15747 Taurus Engineering was engaged by Brosnan Construction Canterbury Limited to fabricate a customised range of architectural steelwork for the staged redevelopment of Queen Charlotte College in Picton, Marlborough. Our role was to turn the approved design details into precision-built components that met the contractor’s programme and the school’s safety and durability requirements. The scope included stainless-steel handrails and balustrades, powder-coated screen trims, bespoke mounting brackets and plant enclosure bases for multiple buildings across the campus. Outcome Taurus delivered the full package on time and to specification, enabling Brosnan Construction to meet the reinstatement milestone of May 2024. The new handrails, balustrades and trims now provide safe, compliant access across the campus and a consistent, high-quality finish. All fixtures were rigorously inspected and certified by the project engineer prior to handover, demonstrating Taurus Engineering’s ability to provide reliable, manufacture-ready architectural steelwork that integrates seamlessly with on-site installation teams.
