Rail Bridge Replacement in North Canterbury Job number: 15831 As part of New Zealand’s Rail Network Investment Programme (RNIP), a bridge strengthening project in North Canterbury was initiated to enhance the region’s rail infrastructure and ensure long-term reliability. From March 2024, Taurus was entrusted with the fabrication, supply, and delivery of structural steel for the timber trestle replacement. The scope encompassed detailed shop drawings, galvanised coatings, delivery logistics, linkage brackets, and abutment packing beams—all critical components for the project’s success. Despite tight deadlines and the need for seamless coordination among multiple stakeholders, Taurus successfully met its commitments, delivering high-quality steelwork on time and to specification, contributing to the project’s smooth and efficient completion.
